While it may never be accused of being the most attractive looking of air purifiers on the market, the Honeywell Air Purifier 50250 has enough going for it to make up for its rather lackluster looks. It basically resembles a big, round heat pump unit seen outside so many homes these days. And, while it's not trendy or fashionable looking, it's designed that way for a reason, which is to better do its job. For the record, it does its job quite well.
As a true HEPA filtration device (HEPA, meaning High-Efficiency Particulate Arresting), the 50250 is capable of filtering out 99.97% of all particles in the air that are 0.3 microns or larger. To aid in this operation, a carbon pre-filter is installed, in line, to clean out larger particulate before reaching the final HEPA filter.
